Italy: Photographic Overview (Thus Far)

Italy: Photographic Overview (Thus Far)

Hello from Tuscany! My family and I, along with my sister-in-law and her family, have been having an incredible Italian trip so far, as we knew we would. We started off in Rome, where we spent three jam-packed days and nights, and then headed to Cortona in Tuscany, where we are for the remainder of our trip. Our days have been flying by in a flash, and I have hardly found the time to sit down and write (actually, I wanted to post this a few days ago, but the service where we currently are is not great and photos are taking forever to upload into WordPress – like 15 minutes per photo forever!). We have been going and going, and ending our days with long, hearty dinners…I will most likely need a new wardrobe, or jeans, by the time we get home.

I have many things I want to share, including family “top visits” in Rome, the low-down on kids and Vatican City, all our adventuring thus far in Tuscany…and will be breaking it all down in a bunch of smaller posts. In the meantime, here is a photographic overview with some select photos to highlight our trip thus far. For those of you who follow me on social media, I have been posting photos as well as good restaurant and places to visit recommendations, so a couple of these pics may overlap. I’ve taken so many, but a few I can’t resist posting again. From strolling the streets of Rome to the coliseum to the Pantheon to Villa Borghese park, to the countryside of Tuscany, including Cortona, Montalcino, Florence and Pienza, these kids have seen A LOT in a short time! Hopefully they will remember it all – and if not, that’s why we have photos ;).

We’ve rarely travelled with family. On those rare occasions when we did – it’s always been a battle between getting people to get dressed in time or walk or eat what’s available. 🙂 I guess that’s what makes these trips memorable. Your pictures are truly wonderful!

Thanks so much! Strange – I thought I had responded to this but it may have been bad reception where I was and didn’t go through. Yes, can def be a battle with getting everyone on the same page. All worth it though :).
